Welcome to Katz on Poetry — my new blog offering articles and other musings on poetry and translation!

 And I’m about to launch my new website about my books and poetry at joelthomaskatz.com. Stay tuned!

 The new blog will be a companion to my existing blog Poem-Pairs at katz-poempair.blogspot.com in which I take a deeper look at a pair of poems of my choosing.

For Katz on Poetry, I’m working on an article about Anne Carson, relics, and disorder.

I also plan to post announcements of books and readings and other activities of interest. For example, a collection of my poetry entitled Erase | Endure: Poems was published by Dutch Poet Press (dutchpoetpress.com) in 2020. The book is available through online retailers or the publisher.

My poetry and publishing friend Robert Perry and I are in the midst of translating the poems of the Dutch poet Saskia Stehouwer from her special limited edition handmade book of compostable materials written in vegetable ink called Bindweefsel (Connective Tissue).
